I have dated and been with a few women that have hair around their nipples, is it common? Is there certain types of women that have hair and others that do not? Would say a women with a lot of hair on her arms be more likely to have hair around her nipples? |

Hair around the nipples is actually quite common among women, as you so noted in your "informal survey." Hirsutism, the medical term for excess hairiness, is only a problem for an estimated five to ten percent of the population, men and women included. It usually runs in families, and for women, can be associated with an illness called polycystic ovary syndrome.
What you describe is less likely to be a medical problem, and more likely to be a function of being human. The type of women who do not have hair on their nipples are the same type who remove it - either by tweezing, electrolysis or simply cutting it short. (By the way, as the skin around the nipples is extremely sensitive, hair removal creams are NOT recommended.) All women and men have hair on their arms, too - some light, some dark; some thick and some thin; some curly and some straight.
The real answer to this question is: If you find a woman with hairy nipples with whom you'd like to have sex more than once, talk to her about your preference and options for removal. Remember when you broach the subject that many women are sensitive about hair on their bodies so be sure to express hairless nipples as simply a preference, not a demand. Most people would be willing to please their partners in this relatively simple way. (Assuming that the feelings are mutual and she'd like to have sex with you again, too!) |
